Fuse Box Diagrams

Panel layouts for the cars we service most often, with the common-blow fuses annotated. Every highlighted fuse comes from our workshop log. What we've seen blow, why, and what to check before just replacing it.

    Toyota Camry · 2007–2017

    XV40 & XV50 , 2.4L / 2.5L petrol

    Two main fuse panels (engine bay + driver cabin). Layouts moved slightly between XV40 and XV50. Diagrams show both.

    Common-blow fuses (4)

    • 15A

      EFI MAIN (engine bay)

      Engine ECU power supply

      If this blows, the car is dead and won't crank. Always check this fuse first on no-crank no-comms.

    • 30A

      F-HTR (engine bay)

      Rear window defogger relay

      Blows when the defogger grid shorts. Replace the fuse, then test the grid resistance before turning on again.

    • 15A

      CIG (driver cabin slot 24)

      Cigarette lighter / 12V outlet

      Goes when customers plug in cheap inverters. The single most-blown fuse on this car.

    • 15A

      PWR OUTLET (driver cabin slot 25)

      Rear 12V outlet

      Shares the chassis with the cigar fuse. Both go together on bad inverter installs.

    Compact layout. Engine bay + a single cabin panel under the steering column.

      HORN (engine bay)

      Horn

      Blows when the horn button sticks. Replace the fuse + the horn button if recurring.

    • 10A

      ECU-B (driver cabin)

      Body ECU memory

      Pulling this resets the radio code and trip computer. Warn the customer before disconnecting.

      DOME (driver cabin)

      Interior lights

      A common one to find pulled when the customer wanted "battery saving". Diagram confirms which lamp it controls.

    Toyota Hilux · 2005–2015

    7th & 8th gen , 2.5/3.0 D-4D

    Engine bay + cabin + auxiliary block under the dash for accessories.

    Common-blow fuses (3)

    • 80A

      GLOW (engine bay)

      Glow plug relay

      Blows when one glow plug shorts internally. Test all four before replacing the fuse.

    • 15A

      INJ (engine bay)

      Diesel injector circuit

      No-start when this goes. Usually a wiring rub on the injector loom rather than the injectors themselves.

    • 30A

      POWER WINDOW (driver cabin)

      Power window master

      A bad window motor pulls excess current and blows this rather than tripping the motor breaker.

    Toyota Land Cruiser 200 · 2008–2020

    4.5L diesel / 4.6L petrol

    Three primary panels (engine bay + driver cabin + cargo) plus several auxiliary blocks for KDSS and AHC. Total fuse count is high.

    • 15A

      DOME (driver cabin)

      Interior + cargo lighting

      Single fuse for a lot of lamps. A single shorted door switch kills the lot.

    • 10A

      KDSS (engine bay)

      KDSS hydraulic suspension solenoid

      Rare blow but expensive to misdiagnose. KDSS warning + harsh ride often = this fuse, not the accumulator.

    8th / 9th gen , 2.4L i-VTEC

    Engine bay panel plus the cabin panel behind the dash on the driver side.

    Common-blow fuses (3)

    • 30A

      FAN MOTOR (engine bay)

      Radiator cooling fan

      A failing fan motor draws excess current and blows this. Replace the motor with the fuse, not just the fuse.

    • 20A

      IG COIL (engine bay)

      Ignition coil pack

      Blowing this kills the engine instantly. Usually a shorted coil. Test each cylinder primary resistance.

      POWER WINDOW (driver cabin)

      Power window master switch

      Honda windows on this generation are heavy current draws. The fuse goes before the motor in most cases.

    Two panels. Engine bay (under the bonnet, driver side) and cabin (left of the steering wheel).

      ACC (cabin)

      Accessory circuit (radio, cigar)

      Common-blow with aftermarket audio. Always check current draw on aftermarket installs.

    • 7.5A

      BACKUP (cabin)

      Reverse lights + back-up sensor

      Wet trunk = wet reverse light = short = blown fuse. Look at the trunk seal first.

    Engine bay + driver-side cabin + a small block under the steering column for body electronics.

      Body control module memory

      Pulling resets the door alarm + key learning. Customer must be warned.

      COIL (engine bay)

      Coil-on-plug supply

      Single fuse for all 4 coils. One bad coil shorting = no-start.

    Shares the panel layout with the Hyundai Tucson of the same era. Diagram includes the Tucson cross-reference notes.

      Panoramic sunroof motor

      Wet motor from blocked drains = stalls = blown fuse. Fix the drains, not just the fuse.

      ABS (engine bay)

      ABS pump module

      Goes after a heavy pothole impact damages a wheel-speed sensor wiring.

    IPDM (Intelligent Power Distribution Module) handles most engine-bay logic. Cabin panel under the dash on the left.

      Fuel pump relay output

      IPDM has built-in fuses + relays. Diagram shows which can be replaced separately and which need full IPDM swap.

      CVT (cabin)

      CVT TCM control

      A blown CVT fuse means the car defaults to a fixed ratio. Driveable but "feels wrong".

    Pre-fuse box under the passenger seat (high-amp) + SAM front (engine bay) + SAM rear (trunk).

      Pre-fuse F32 (under passenger seat)

      Main battery distribution

      A pinched seat-rail wire can short here and kill everything. Inspect after seat motor work.

    • 25A

      SAM rear F4 (trunk)

      Rear lights + trunk circuits

      Water damage to the rear SAM from blocked sunroof drains blows this repeatedly.

    E250 / E300 / E350

    Like the W204 but more panels. Pre-fuse + SAM front + SAM rear + dedicated panel for AIRMATIC where fitted.

      COMAND (engine bay)

      Infotainment head unit

      Common after aftermarket dashcam installs that tap a switched live incorrectly.

    • 40A

      AIRMATIC (rear SAM)

      Air suspension compressor

      A failing compressor pulls high current and blows this rather than tripping its own thermal cut-out.

    Mk2.5 / Mk3 , 1.6L / 2.0L petrol

    BJB (Battery Junction Box) in the engine bay + CJB (Central Junction Box) in the cabin under the steering column.

      PCM (BJB)

      Powertrain control module

      If PCM has no power, car is completely dead. Check BJB first on no-comms.

    • 40A

      BLOWER (CJB)

      HVAC blower motor

      Failing blower draws high current and blows this. Replace the motor + the fuse together.
